Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha has received a summary report on foreign direct investment in Thailand for the first 11 months of 2022, according to deputy government spokesperson Anucha Burapachaisri. According to the report, foreign investment totaled 112,466 million baht, an increase of 74%. Over the same period in 2021, over 5,000 new jobs will be created.

From January to November 2022, the Ministry of Commerce has approved 530 requests by foreign investors to conduct business under the Foreign Business Act BE 2542, recognizing Japan, Singapore and the United States as foreign investor countries. surpassed The projects approved by the Ministry of Commerce are mainly related to government policy on national infrastructure development, public sector investment promotion and S-Curve industry.

A spokesperson said the prime minister expressed euphoria at international investors’ confidence in Thailand’s economic potential and thanked relevant institutions for their efforts to put policies into action. He said he was showing signs of a strong recovery.

The Prime Minister also stressed the importance of continuing to promote foreign direct investment and ease of doing business.
