Kochi Prefecture: Italian businessman Tonino Lamborghini is looking for ways to invest in Kerala even as he seeks tax relief from the state government. Mr Tonino revealed his plans to state Industry Minister P Rajeev at a meeting here in Nedumbassery on Saturday, the government said at a press conference.

The Lamborghini family business is a luxury line of watches, mobile phones, sunglasses, bags, clothing and boutique hotels.

Lamborghini told Rajeev that it would hold detailed follow-up discussions on a potential investment in the state.

As a token of his appreciation, the Minister gifted Lamborghini with the iconic Arammura mirrors of Kerala.

During the tour, Lamborghini and Angela visited Thrissur and Kalamandalam, and went on a boat cruise in the remote corners of Kochi with Time World Group’s MD Usman Rahman, who is also a Lamborghini brand ambassador in Dubai.

In an interview with Manorama, Lamborghini emphasized the need for suitable business partners when asked about the possibility of his company investing in the state.
